MERRY CHRISTMAS 2008

'HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all and to all a good-night'

Christmas 2008

He sprang to his sleigh to his team gave a whistle and away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim 'ere he rode out of sight......

And then in a twinkling I heard on the roof the prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my head and was turning around down the chimney Saint Nicholas came with a bound.
He was chubby and plump a right jolly old elf! And I laughed when I saw him in spite of myself! A wink of his eye and a twist of his head soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

Christmas 2008

The stockings all hung by the chimney with care in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.

The children all nestled all snug in their beds while visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.

Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse

Our Little Drummer Boy

Here is a 30 sec. clip of what Liam will tear down the walls in order to get into Ethan's room for......

Cute Pics

Some pictures of me doing some of my favorite things.....the bird statue is at our favorite outdoor venue...Center City Park, while some my call it an obsession I simply call it my fascination with all things tiny and squiggly (liam LOVES babies), and finally, mom conceded to allowing my domination of the entire front room as my play area. My favorites...anything little tykes that belonged to big brother which inspires him to play along (just for nostalgic reasons of course)

All Hallows eve

This year Liam was Charlie Brown for Halloween (daddy went as Linus but mommy was at conference so wasn't able to dress up) after a round of trick-or-treating with Pooh Bear and a couple of crustacians we passed out candy around the campfire and had our traditional smores and apple cidar treats with neighbors and friends.

Animals galore!!

"Here we go round the .....bush" chasing a Peacock no less!! No matter where we are The Biltmore Estate farm, the duck pond, or visiting tigers and anteaters just down the street (literally) Liam LOVES animals. His favorite mammal.....big brother Ethan!

The Children's Museum

Recently we bought a membership to the Greensboro Children's Museum where we like to visit with our neighbors/friends. It's mommy's secret weapon against filling the house with toys. Here we can play in a huge theater, shop at a market, play in a real race car, and sailboat, play at a farmhouse etc, etc, etc. and mommy doesn't have to keep a real fire engine in the back room (they do it for us).

Ta-Da

Presenting.....Liam Swaim! behind the magic curtain (that we never like to stay behind) one of our favorite pastimes is our new puppet theater in which we LOVE to make up new songs and put on performances with and for Big Brother E-chan.

Happy Birthday Liam!

I'm a Big Boy now! My birthday was a very special day with family and friends. I chilled out with my big brother all day doing big boy things (like watch TV and playing soccer) We had some of my friends over for hamburgers and confetti cake. We stayed up late playing with my new toys. After the big thunderstorm the weather was beautiful and since I like being outside so much we went for a great trail hike at the park. Being a baby has been great and we're looking forward to a second year of new and exciting things. I hope you will stay in touch!!

The New England Aquarium

HUGE turtles, stingrays and seals! I highly recommend that you visit.

Getting into Things

Once I got this crawling thing down I've been on the move. Pulling up proved to be rather handy of a thing to have mastered and while balancing took a while the world of 2' and below is MINE for the taking :) And now that I've finally gotten a second tooth....these objects in here have begun to look mighty tasty!!!

BRRR...Baby it's cold outside.

It snowed pretty hard today and finally began to stick to the ground cover. We were very excited that this time around the camara was ready to go and daddy kept his fingers out of the lense :) My first snow fall was beautiful (as you can see) and YES! It does taste good!
